Ingredients

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. 2. Cut the tops off of the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. 3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. 4. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened. 5. Add the cooked rice, diced tomatoes (with their juice), oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine. 6. Stuff the bell peppers with the beef and rice mixture. 7. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil. 8. Bake for 45 minutes. 9. Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the peppers. 10. Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. 11. Remove from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
