- 2 cups jasmine rice
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 stalk lemongrass, bruised
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt

Method
- Rinse the rice in cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the rice and stir to coat with the oil.
- Add the lemongrass and broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes with the lid on.
- Fluff the rice with a wooden spoon and remove the lemongrass stalk.
- Season with salt to taste.
