Method

  1. Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the garlic and onion and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the bagoong and stir-fry for another minute.
  4. Add the cooked rice and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the rice is evenly coated with the bagoong mixture.
  5. Push the rice to one side of the wok or frying pan and crack the egg into the empty space.
  6. Scramble the egg until it is cooked and then mix it into the rice.
  7. Add the fish sauce, sugar, and sliced chili pepper and stir-fry for another minute.
  8. Add the sliced green onions and stir-fry for a few more seconds.
  9. Remove from heat and serve with lime wedges on the side.
