Method:
The method to make Rice Sevai Upma is as follows:- Take the rice sevai in a colander and rinse it under running water. Drain the water and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to it. Allow them to crackle.
- Add urad dal and chana dal to the pan and fry them until they turn golden brown.
- Add chopped onions, green chilies, and ginger to the pan and fry them until the onions turn translucent.
- Add turmeric powder, green peas, and curry leaves to the pan and fry them for a minute.
- Add salt to the pan and mix well.
- Add grated coconut to the pan and mix well.
- Add 1 cup of water to the pan and bring it to a boil.
- Add the rice sevai to the pan and mix well.
- Cover the pan with a lid and cook the sevai for 5-7 minutes or until the water is absorbed.
- Turn off the flame and let the sevai cool down for a few minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
